It is with great regret we have to inform members that former member Arnold Sucis has passed away. Details of his funeral will be passed on via email. R.I.P. Arnold.
Eric Musgrave Honorary member of the 39 Club and Editorial Director of Drapers Record came across this picture of Les Read from Fred Perry and Alan Warren a current member and past Chairman and Hon Secretary from an edition of Mens Wear now Drapers dating back from an edition published 23rd October 1980.
Eric commented “does anyone recognise these two from Men’s Wear of nearly 35 years ago? Glad to see The 39 Club was more important than Versace opening its first London store?”
Eric also commented on Alan’s very fashionable leading edge eyewear!
The 39 Club celebrated a record attendance for this year’s event held at the Royal Overseas League in St James’ SW1. There was a record 115 attending the lunch with Andrew Titheridge, ex Rugby World Cup commentator delivering an excellent and very humorous address. The club also raised the sum of £1142 for Prostate Cancer UK, yet another record. Congratulations to the club for a fine and well attended event this year. In 2016 the Annual Spring Lunch, part of our 60th year celebrations, will be held on Friday March 18th at the Royal Overseas League. Book your place!
