The 39 Club recently sponsored Jamie Harden's Charity Bike Ride, this is how it went:

SRCC was formed 10 years ago in the wake of the passing of our chairman’s mum to cancer. A group of friends decided to get together and put a bit back. It started at 30miles locally, then went to 60 then a 100 before London to Paris. This year with it being the 10th anniversary, we wanted to do something special so the aim was to go to the home of cycling and visit the battlefields. This meant 270 miles on the bike, climbing 19,000 ft over 3 days. We left Birmingham at 4.00 am at flew to Brussels where we picked up our bikes and cycled 90miles a day for 3 days, going through Burdinne, Durbury, Laroche, Morhet, Bouillon, Rochefort, Waterloo and finally back to Brussels raising £12k.

22 started of all shapes and sizes and 22 finished with sore behinds. At one point we cycled up hill for 2 hours and to a man nobody stopped, we had 6 punctures, 4 come off, 2 mechanical faults and 4 support van crashes but most importantly we remembered, raised and laughed……………

A weekend I will never forget and feel proud to have been part of
