Our Story

The current committee of The 39 Club is chaired by Kamla Patel and she is supported by several well known figures from our esteemed trade. Kamla is seen to the right with Mark McKinley, Nigel Pinnock, Andy Tompsett, Keith Brown and Simon Lovell.

2023 is an exciting year for The 39 Club, and even more than usual we have a lot going on. Our social media links are at the bottom of the page, so please take a look and follow us there or keep checking back here for the latest news and views.

Formed in 1956 by founder members Jock Munro, Arthur Brigden and Freddy Kirby it was a club of commercial travellers, or agents, in the menswear trade for the West End and the City of London. Over the last 67 years the clubs geographical span has widened and still meets regularly at the Masons Arms, Maddox Street, London each month.
